A trip to the Yorkshire Dales in Spring
11 April 2022
As the days get longer and warmer, the Yorkshire Dales is one of the most beautiful places to visit to see some wonderful Spring sights. It’s synonymous with flower blooms on the moors, lambing in the fields and community Easter activities.
Lambing season
How can you not love the sight of seeing lambs in the Yorkshire Dales? It’s an optimistic sight of new life and happiness as they frolic in the sunshine. Pry House Farm in Upper Swaledale breeds Swaledale sheep in the traditional way and welcomes visitors to their home to give them a taste of how they work and live.
Daffodils and Country Estates
Parcevall Hall and Gardens is located on 24 acres of woodlands and formal gardens in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The gardens were designed and laid out by Sir William Milner and the daffodil display in spring is a stunning display against the backdrop of the Dales.
Easter activities
There are loads of Easter activities going on in the Yorkshire Dales this spring. Giant bunnies will shortly be waking up from hibernation and decorating Strid Wood at Bolton Abbey. As you make your way through the woods, look out for larger than life bunnies wearing brightly coloured coats. Seasons Bakery in Ingleton is organising the Great Ingleton Easter Egg Trail from 9th - 24th April 2022. You can join in the fun by buying a quiz sheet for £2 at the bakery and also take part in funfair games, enjoy live music and eat lots of Easter treats over Easter weekend.
