Campbell Cards

A small range of postcards featuring pictures of Donald Campbell on Coniston Water and Ullswater during his world water spred record attempts in the 1950s and 1960s.

Donald  Campbell broke the World Water Speed record on 23 July 1955 on Ullswater in the Jet powered Bluebird K7 boat. He later broke his own record at Coniston and Lake Mead, Nevada over the next few years. His final world record occured on 4 January 1967 on Coniston Water, where tragically Campbell lost his life during the record attempt.
