Our Lap Maps were launched over 30 years ago and have been best-sellers ever since.
We wanted an easy-to-use map with visitor information and things to see and do in a format that was fun, family-friendly and could be easily carried around.
So the Lake District Visitors' Lap Map was born, and haven't looked back! We quickly added more Lakes maps for Walkers, Cyclists and Pub Grub, and then expanded the range into Yorkshire and Northumbria and beyond.
The key feature of our Lap Maps is the brilliant hand drawn map of Northumberland from artist Colin Shelbourn.
On the back of each map you'll find a lot of very useful information. Depending on which Lap Map you choose there are car tours, walks with great views and gentle gradients, attractions, places to visit, activities and more.
It's a great way to plan days out in Northumbria and the Scottish Borders, and also makes a great souvenir of your time there!
Three different Lap Maps for Northumberland & The Scottish Borders:
The Visitors' map features six car tours, ideal for great days out. Each tour has lots of interesting attractions and activites.
The Walkers' map includes nine walks with gentle gradients and fantastic views in places like Lindisfarne, Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh, Hadrian's Wall and Berwick-upon-Tweed.
The Pub Grub map features 60 of the finest pubs and inns in Northumbria for good food including dog friendly ones.
