Our Lap Maps were launched over 30 years ago and have been best-sellers ever since.
We wanted an easy-to-use map with visitor information and things to see and do in a format that was fun, family-friendly and could be easily carried around.
So the Lake District Visitors' Lap Map was born, and haven't looked back! We quickly added more Lakes maps for Walkers, Cyclists and Pub Grub, and then expanded the range into Yorkshire and Northumbria and beyond.
The key feature of our Lap Maps is the brilliant hand drawn map of the Lake District National Park from artist Colin Shelbourn.
On the back of each map you'll find a lot of very useful information. Depending on which Lap Map you choose there are car tours, walks with great views and gentle gradients, cycle routes, attractions, places to visit, activities, advice and more.
It's a great way to plan days out in the Lake District, and also makes a great souvenir of your time in the Lakes!
Five different Lap Maps for the Lake District:
The Wild Swimming map with 20 places to swim including 10 walks and health & safety information.
The Visitors' map features six car tours, ideal for great days out. Each tour has lots of interesting attractions and activites.
The Walkers' map includes eight walks with gentle gradients and fantastic views in places like Ambleside, Grasmere Ullswater and Windermere.
The Cyclists' map features six cycle routes for families following quieter roads and giving great views.
The Pub Grub map features 60 of the finest pubs and inns in the Lake District for good food including dog friendly ones.
So why not browse our range and get yourself ready for your next trip to the Lake District. Don't worry though if you forget to do this before you leave. Our Lap Maps are sold in shops all around the Lakes.
The Lap Map artwork is very popular and we've added a jigsaw, and tea towel to the range. We've also got coasters and tablemats with excerpts from the Lap Map.
